The Koinonia community consists of stewards (those with a long-term commitment and call to serve Koinonia), candidates for stewardship, service partners (who prefer to serve without being stewards, for a year or more), community interns (friends who come to experience our shared life for 3-4 months), and also kids, guests, visiting groups and families, cats, shorthorn cattle, many wonderful neighbors, and a dog. Our shared life together revolves around work, study, prayer, service... and play! We gather for morning and afternoon chapel each weekday, work and serve together in the mornings and afternoons (and at many odd hours), and share fellowship with the community noon meal each weekday. We have fun through potlucks, games, and outings, and we also make time for weekly study sessions on many topics. Many of us serve privately and quietly through community service, visiting shut-in neighbors, church and civic group membership, peace & justice work, and more. Here are some more places on the Koinonia website where you can learn about our day-to-day life.
Visit -- People of all faiths come to visit Koinonia for up to two weeks and participate in our shared life of work, study, prayer and service.
